Described as small rodents and members of the Mus genus. They are known as household pests and for their high breeding rates. Known to burrow many small, intricate tunnels to create their burrows.
Characteristics
Featuring small bodies with rounded ears, pointed snouts, a furry body and smooth tails; they are popular household pets despite also being known as common pests. Commonly popularized to be lured by cheese, these mammals in actuality prefer nuts and fruits over the man made dairy product.
In Popular Media
Due to their small size and their seemingly "cute" and appealing visual features as well as being a widely known and commonly seen animal, they are often anthropomorphized in popular media, with Disney's Mickey Mouse being a prominent example.
